These species are better known as the Savanna Elephant and the Forest Elephant. The Forest Elephant is smaller, has downward pointing tusks and rounded ears - can be seen on Safari in central African Rainforest regions from Zaire westwards. The Savanna Elephants are unsuprisingly found in savanna regions as well as drier woodlands and are commonly found in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa.
